In this school assignment we have created an video interview with a professional hindu priest. So with the group of 4 people, we shot, edited the interview. One person conducted the interview, another person shot the interview and recorded the audio. One more person edited the interview. We interview supposed to be around 3 mins long, and we achieved that run time.
As a group, after thinking a lot we decided to do the interview with a priest at a local temple. I had a contact of the priest from this temple,so I was able to set up an interview. During one of the auspicaus festival days with a gathering of many devotees, we were able to shoot a good amout of B-Roll. We used Lavalier microphone & also hand held one too.
We used school equipment like Nikon D3400 with 18-55mm Lens. We also used Manfrotto Tripod as well. And for lighting, we used LED lighting just for the shooting the interview. We also did a lot of hand held filming for B-Roll. But, we were asked not to shoot the god idols of the of the temple, so we were careful when we were filming.
We as a group edited the video on Adobe Premiere Pro. The first version came out to 5.5 minutes and we cut it down to 3 minutes since the assignment requirment was 3 minutes. Our audio came out great, but we had to so some bit of audio work on Adobe Audition as well. We used some free background we found online and we referenced it as well. So, in all, we had lot of fun and it was very good educational expereince for al of us.
